Operational theatre to support Chinese-German field hospital

After the earthquake 12th of May 2008 Uniteam sent a containerized operation theatre to Sichuan, China. As a consequence of the earthquake the hospitals in the affected earthquake areas where under heavy pressure and dependent on assistance to meet the needs of medical assistance. Norway Red Cross was asked to support with an operational theatre (OT container).

ImageThe container was transported by air to Chengdu and then into the earthquake affected area of Dujiangyan. Uniteam went together with the Norwegian Red cross to install the OT container in Dujiangyan.

ImageThe Chinese Red Cross asserts that the OT has played a great role in the emergency operation by the Chinese-German RC field hospital after the 12th may Sichuan earthquake and also in the earthquake relief by the people’s hospital of dujiangyan city. China Red Cross greatly appreciates Uniteam and Norway Red Cross support for the earthquake victims.
