Building of shelter

• One gas tight 20' container(20'long, 8.6'width,8'high) makes up the shelter insulated and fire rating is A60. All cable and pipe transits will be gas tight.
• The shelter will be equipped with eight (8) H2S sensors and eight (8) CH4 sensors. Four (4) H2S and four (4) CH4 sensors will be located outdoors on the shelter corners.
• At 7ppm H2S detected the shelter is in stand by mode, but sound/light alarms activated. At 14ppm H2S detected the shelter is operational.

Critical Factors on H2S

• 10 ppb (parts per billion) - Detected by smell.
• 14 ppm - STEL (Short term exposure limit – 15 minutes).
• 50-100 ppm - Loss of sense of smell in 3-5 mins., water in the eyes and coughing.
• 200-300 ppm - Marked eye and respiratory irritation, followed by severe headache.
• 500-700 ppm - Unconsciousness followed by death if not treated quickly. Lungs are paralyzed.
• >1000 ppm - Rapid unconsciousness followed by failure of respiratory system and immediate death.

Requirements

• Working environment: H2S contained in sour gas is 170,500ppm(about17%) and mountain area
• Emergency mode: 10 persons,supporting duration is at least  2 hours
• Air system can support fresh air inside of shelter and keeps over pressure
• Workers can come in and out the shelter in safety way for H2S accident put away
• A total of 135 minutes of breathing air has been allowed for each person
